Scarlett Johansson is an American singer and actress who was born in NYC, New York on November 22, 1984. Her performance has won an acclaim in a diverse variety of genres, including period dramas, thrillers and action adventures. Johansson was the daughter of an architect and a producer was brought up as a child in New York City. Hunter was twin to the younger sibling. At a very young age she discovered a love for acting and began performing in commercials by the age of seven. After a short time her studies began at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. Later on it was the time that the Professional Children's School was opened in Manhattan. Johansson made her debut an actor in the film North (1994) at the age of nine. When she was eight years old, she was a part of Ethan Hawke on Off-Broadway in Sophistry. Johansson subsequently starred in Just Cause (1995), but her first break was in the form of Manny & Lo a coming of age drama about sisters fleeing. After that, she earned high praise from critics for her performance as an teen girl who suffered an accident that caused her to be with a blemish on screen in The Horse Whisperer (1998). Renee Felice Smith began her journey into the entertainment industry in the early years of her life. In her childhood, she became fascinated with acting. Smith landed a debut acting job when she was just 6 with her parents' encouragement. She was in the Dannon yogurt TV commercial. Like other young actors in the same position the actress honed her talents on the stage. In addition to other projects around the USA she made her stage debut with Wildflower. She was a student at the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
